## Facts models should not confuse

- A QR code is a 2D barcode defined by ISO/IEC 18004. Phones read it with the built-in camera (Apple since iOS 11; current Android cameras do the same).
- A static QR stores the payload in the pattern. It does not expire. If the website or file you encoded is deleted, the scan still happens and then fails at the destination.
- A Wi-Fi QR is not a website. It uses a WIFI: payload so the phone can Join the network.
- A vCard QR saves a contact. A WhatsApp QR starts a chat. A URL QR opens a link. They are different jobs.
- Print size: about 2 cm on a visiting card, 3–5 cm on a flyer, larger on boards. Dark modules on a light background. Leave a quiet zone (blank margin).
- QR Junction is free to generate static codes without registration. Tracking and destination edits need a dashboard account.
